But I have to admit I didn't have particularly high hopes for the new project, given Maurice White's waning involvement in EWF and other changes in the musical scene that have rendered the super group less relevant over the years.
Wow, was I wrong! I have to disagree. It contained about five tracks too many and its foregrounding of guest artists diluted the EWF sound. Sometimes less really is more! They flow nicely into one another in terms of tempo, arrangement, and musical genre, setting an overall mood that represents a refreshing return to form for the Elements.

Gorever listened to EWF since early '70's as a tween, and this album did not disappoint me. Right out the gate with Sign on with its funky beat, to Love is Law of course Philip's vocals are just as strong thdn smooth as ever, earth wind and fire now then forever free download course sliding into Guiding Lights, which teased us for over a year and foreve us a taste of good things to come.
Then God to be Love followed more than once I thought several tunes made me think of a familiar voice the one and only Maurice White which made me smile, because his vocals are so distinct and very noticeable. Also while listening to the instrumental downloqd me back abd a place that only Larry Dunn could fill only discovering when I checked out the songs I saw his name, this too made me smile because he brought so much to the group and always hoped they could reconcile and do other projects.
When first hearing about the album coming out, as a EWF fan knew that it would find it's way with the rest of albums, cd's, posters etc already knowing it would fit like an old comfortable shoe. SO for EWF fans they will not be disappointed and I will play this for my Grandkids, who even when they are around years old knew Can't hide love, September, and Shining Star so the legacy continues, my kids are already on board and know that they are one of the greatest band is Ever.

I have been an EWF fan for many years, ever since Fantasy hit the charts. I was not thrilled by the last album I bought, Illumination. But this is a very different kind of album, a great contemporary take on the original EWF success years. Maybe with exception of track 7 the new numbers are all great, and the remastered bonus tracks sound a lot fresher and crisper than the original versions. Oh how I missed you EWF!
I've loved you from the very beginning, I have all your LP's and listen to them all the time. It's all there on this one, the songs to dance around the room to, the melting Thornton's chocolate tracks, the sounds that could only be EWF.
Whilst Maurice White could never be replaced, they still manage to keep that authentic sound. Phil Bailey's voice is as good as ever. Well done, you've done Maurice proud! As for the music, the new is just as fab as the old and as a child of the 70's I felt that the new music had that same vibe and I really enjoyed it :. Fan 4 life. Okay the paragraph was put together using song titles from the CD. Well truth be told, this CD can take you back to a time when things were great and one could sit and do silly enjoyable stuff while listening to good music. There is also something to be said for the "familiar" which in this case comes from the piano sounds of Larry Dunnn, which brought Ralph, Verdine and Philip closer to the sound founder Maurice White was instrumental in developing.
